Suspension rule Alhassan out of Sunshine clash

Akwa United midfielder, Alhassan Ibrahim, will be out of action in this weekend’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Match Day 13 as Sunshine Stars of Akure come calling.

The attacking midfielder has accumulated five yellow cards in twelve matches and has been ruled not good to go.

According to the LMC rules, the accumulation of five yellow cards results in a one match suspension.

The midfielder who has scored five goals in twelve marches was booked in the games against Katsina United (away), Gombe United (away), Enyimba International (away) Nasarawa United (away) and El Kanemi Warriors (home).

It will be the first time this season that the ace player will stay out, undressed.
