Sunshine Stars International Football Club posted a commanding performance to sweep aside Shooting Stars Sports Club in a South West Pre-Season soccer match in Lagos.

The match was highly entertaining as both teams displayed great soccer artistry.

Sunshine Stars started the match on a promising note as the Akure based team dictated the pace.

The dominant display was rewarded before the half time whistle as enterprising Sunday Oludare broke the deadlock from the penalty spot after a 3SC player handled the ball in the vital area after a well taken corner kick by Sunshine Stars.

The Owens Waves went into the break leading by a goal to nil.

On resumption of the second half, the Owena Waves kept the pressure on the Oluyole Warriors with both coaches making series of changes to give the teams freshness and the required balance.

Former 3SC player, Alaba Adeniyi, made the game safe for Sunshine Stars scoring the back breaking second goal to kill any hope of a comeback by the Oluyole Warriors.

Some of the players paraded by Sunshine Stars in the famous win included Henry Ayodele, Omaka Anthony, Kehinde Adedipe, Nojeem Raji and Sikiru Babatunde.

Sunshine Stars will hope to build on the victory Wednesday when they trade tackles with MFM FC in continuation of the South West Pre Season Soccer Tournament.
