Pillars gets N120m cash boost

The Kano State government has approved the released of N120 million to Kano Pillars Football Club ahead of the 2016/2017 Nigeria Professional Football League season reports sportstalkafrica.com.
The whooping sum is the club’s take off grant for the new season billed to kick-off on Sunday December 18, 2016.
State Commissioner for information, Malam Muhammad Garba stated this Thursday while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the state Executive Council meeting.
Recall the Masu Gida team recently got a new management board led by Tukur Babangida who guided the club to its first NPL title and CAF Champions League appearance in 2008/09.
Kano Pillars finished on the 7th spot on the league log last season after amassing 52 points from 36 matches and with veteran coach, Kadiri Ikhana as its new technical adviser, the Sai Masu Gida side hope to win laurels and get back to the continent.
