Otobong: I am the luckiest captain in NPFL

Akwa United of Uyo captain, Otobong Effiong, believes he is one of the luckiest captains in the NPFL after helping Akwa united to a second title in three years.
Ina brief chat with Sportstalkafrica.com Otobong expressed joy over his team’s second titles and hoping to make it three in the coming season by the special grace of God.
Otobong confirmed that the past season was well fought by the Uyo side and admitted that it happened to be one of the captains that has lifted the titles twice in the space of three years.
“First I thank the Almighty God for making the captain of this great team and there is nothing much important to us than winning the trophy after failing to win the League title.
“I am happy Akwa united has won its second FA cup trophy in my own time as the captain.
“I know we will do it again next season, God has answered our prayers and it will continue to be like that. I and my team mates have entered the records book and I am so excited for it.
“All that is on our mind is CAF confederations cup and if this team stay together long enough and play with all our heart the way we did in the past season, I bet we will win the CAF Trophy as well.
“All we need is the support of all our fans to make sure they stay behind us all through our continental games and we are looking forward to a good caf outing and make everyone proud,” he concluded.
