Nura To Face Chelsea In Champions League

AS Roma manager Eusebio Di Francesco has included promising Nigerian right back Nura Abdullahi in his 23-man Champions League squad-list submitted to UEFA following the conclusion of the summer transfer window.

The Football College Abuja product has yet to make his debut for the Italian club but was an unused substitute in the opening round of the Serie A against Atalanta.

The 19-year-old is presently in the treatment room due to a Biceps femoris muscle injury, and is expected to return to action on October 18, meaning it is all but confirmed he will miss the Champions League games against Atlético Madrid and Qarabağ.

Abdullahi, who suffered the injury whilst training with the first team on August 22, is in contention to travel with Roma’s first team to the English capital on October 17 for the match day three fixture against Chelsea, if he does not suffer a relapse.
