NPFL: Onuwa charges MFM for victory against Lobi

By TUNDE SHAMSUDEEN
MFM FC midfielder, Onuwa Chukwuka, has charged his teammates to claim the maximum points in their NPFL match day three fixture against Lobi Stars FC.

After his team’s scandalous 0-4 defeat on Wednesday to FC Ifeanyiubah, Onuwa and his teammates are looking to quickly cut back their fall as MFM gear up for Lobi Stars this Sunday in what he says is a “must-win match” at the Soccer Temple, Agege Stadium, Lagos.

“I will like to appreciate our fans for their support and for their warm reception after our loss in Nnewi. Such will not repeat itself again.

“Our focus now is on the Lobi Stars game and it is with the sole aim of claiming the three crucial points as stake.

“Don’t forget that we played Lobi during the Gold Cup Pre-Season Tournament in Ijebu-Ode and we also saw their game against Shooting Stars where they lost 0-2. Their approach on the field of play is not new to us.

“The head coach and his coaching crew have been working tirelessly for us to bounce back and I believe we will. We the players know the importance of the game and we have urged ourselves to go all out for victory,” said the former Heartland of Owerri playmaker.

Having lost one out of their two NPFL games so far in the new season, coach Fidelis Ilechukwu and his wards are now 11th on the log with three points out of maximum six.
