Lobi Stars get N.15m for Pillars victory

Players and officials of Lobi Stars of Makurdi were rewarded with the sum of N150,000 (One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) for deating Kano Pillars to advance to the final of the Gold Cup Pre-season tournament in Ijebu-Ode.

The Godwin Koko Uwa team shocked the Gold Cup defending champions 1-3 to set-up a final clash against Mountain of Fire Miracle Ministries FC of Lagos.

A delighted Lobi Stars boss, Mike Idoko wasted no time to announce the cash reward to the team after the victory.

He said he gave the players N100, 000, while the technical got #50, 000.

The former Sunshine Stars boss stated that the cash is to appreciate the players attitude and character to have come from a goal down to defeat the tourney defending champion.
