LMC okays Akure Stadium for Sunshine Stars

The League Management Company, LMC has given the Ondo State Sports Complex, Akure a clean bill of health to host the home matches of Sunshine Stars Football Club in the 2016/2017 Nigeria Professional Football League season reports sportstalkafrica.com.

The Ondo State Sports Complex in Akure is the home ground of the Nigeria Professional Football League side, Sunshine Stars International Football Club of Akure.
Speaking with newsmen in Akure shortly after completion of the inspection of facilities in Akure, Alhaji Haruna Megidasanma expressed satisfaction with the standard of all the facilities inspected.

 

“I am really pleased and satisfy with the standard of facilities on ground here at the state sports complex in Akure, the stadium is in good shape and all the facilities needed to have a good season as regards hosting of league matches are in place.”

“We just hope the stadium will be expanded to accommodate more fans who will be on ground on every match day.”

Some of the facilities inspected by the LMC delegation included the playing pitch, dressing rooms, medicals (ambulance), technical areas, score board, sitting terraces, and camera stands among others.

The NPFL season is expected to begin on Sunday December 18, 2016.
