Kayode close to lique 1 move

Manchester City are on the verge of loaning Nigerian striker Olarenwaju “Larry” Kayode to Ligue 1 side Amiens after talks progressed smoothly overnight.

According to RMC Sport, negotiations are down to the final financial details, after which the 24-year-old will join Amiens on an initial six-month loan deal with the French club having an option to buy in the summer.

The Nigerian international, who joined City from Austria Wien in a £3.5million deal last summer, was the Austrian Bundesliga’s top scorer last season, but failed to find the net on loan at Girona FC and is being relocated.

And should his loan spell at the Stade de la Licorne go well, City will be cashing in on their investment after just 12 month.
