Joshua vs Parker: Tonight’s the night

After months of waiting in bated breath, the world will stand still tonight for WBA and IBF Heavyweight belt holder, Anthony Joshua, and WBO champion, Joseph Parker.

The stage is the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. The bone of contention is the unified WBA, IBF Being staked by Joshua and the WBO belts held by Parker.

It’s a big bucks fight with Joshua guaranteed £20m pounds as the home boy while Parker has a guarantee of £13m. Joshua however could make much much more from revenue expected mainly from Pay Per View.

Joshua says he had been working on his jabs and foot movement and interestingly been enjoying support tips from his last victim, Klitschko, while Parker on his part expects former WBO Champ, Tyson Fury, an old pal, to be by his ringside.

Joshua had said he expects the fight to end in between the 6th and 8th rounds, no disrespect for Parker who has also said he will reveal new skills on the ring tonight.

The winner tonight is expected to take on the WBC champion, Deontay Wilder and Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearns, positive about the outcome for Joshua is projecting a Joshua – Wilder WBA/IBF/WBO and WBC unification fight for between October and December 2018.
