Ilechukwu under pressure to abandon MFM

The head coach of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries FC, Fidelis Ilechukwu, could be poached at mid-season by top Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) sides who are showing keen interest for his signature with mouth watering offers.

Ilechukwu is about the most wanted coach in the NPFL as feelers close to the disciplinarian inducate that his exploits in the Nigerian top league has earned the Nnewi born tactician tempting offers from various top clubs.

No fewer than four clubs have tabled offers and are jostling for his signature and Camara, as the merchant tactician is fondly called, may dump the Olukoya Boys coaching job.

With MFM charging towards clinching the league title, we can reveal there is a genuine fear that other clubs are already trying to pinch the merchant tactician.

Investigation revealed Ilechukwu agent has been in negotiations with clubs making overtures for the gaffer and there are strong indication that he may decide to join one of the prosperous clubs.

“Ilechukwu is one of the best tacticians we have in the Nigeria Professional Football League, he has shown the world that his exploits in the league in recent time is not a fluke. He’s a tactical coach with good character and charisma.

“We have been monitoring his progress after he promoted MFM FC to the NPFL although he struggled in his first stint in the league last season which I think is normal for any newly promoted team.

“We contacted him before the start of the season but he said he has given the General Overseer of MFM his words and he’s not ready to leave for any reason. Ilechukwu is the perfect man for our team and we have decided to speak with his agent again with a more improved and tempting offer,” a top official of one of the clubs luring him said.

Efforts made to speak with Ilechukwu before press time was abortive as his mobile phones were not reachable.

MFM have garnered five away points in the ongoing NPFL, sitting on 4th position on the log with 20 points from 11 league matches.
