Ikhana recall Gambo Mohammed against Enyimba

Kano Pillars strong and powerful centre forward and captain, Gambo Mohammed, will be in action today as the Sai Masu Gida side welcome former two time African Champions, Enyimba of Aba, to the Sani Abacha Stadium in match day 12 of the Nigeria Professional Football League.

With huge experience and over 80 goals in the NPFL, Gambo is expected to marshal the attack against Enyimba in what has been described as the must watch fixture of the league this weekend.

Gambo had been off for about two weeks following injuries but Coach Kadiri Ikhana sees the encounter as all important to warrant throwing in all the best arrows in his arsenal.

With a possible combination with Rabiu Ibrahim alongside Kabiru Balogun and old war horse Adamu Muhammed, Pillars are expected to rebuff any probe by Enyimba who has come to town to prove superiority.

Enyimba is led today by Mfon Udoh, one time league highest goal scorer and the Aba boys have indicated that they are in Kano for business.

All roads lead to Kano with their multitudinous fans but Enyimba is sure to cut a huge slice of the spectators and supporters with a high population of Aba boys already geared in the People’s Elephant colours and rooting for an Enyimba victory or draw at the least.

Pillars are however looking to consolidate on their fortunes after stealing a midweek away point from Remo Stars courtesy of Rabiu Ibrahim’s late minute explosive on match day 11 away in Sagamu.

The Kano Pillars – Enyimba match will be broadcast live on the national network of Radio Nigeria with over 40 FM stations hooking up.
