Former sunshine stars midfielder, Ikenna Hilary has said that, Kano Pillars will beat Rangers International of Enugu in this year’s Federation Cup final.
With the game now fixed to hold Wednesday, October 24 at Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, Delta State, Hilary said he hopes to put up a good performance if fielded for the game.
He gave an account how he got his national team bow under late Eagles former skipper and coach, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi en route to bronze at the 2014 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) in South Africa.
The battling holding midfielder, who has also starred for Shooting Stars of Ibadan as well as clubs in Malta and Portugal, believes playing in a stadium named after Keshi should spur him to shine against Rangers.
“I am happy that my team qualified for the final and we will meet Rangers in the final, and the final is in Asaba.
“That stadium is named after my late former coach in the national team, Stephen Keshi, The Boss. I am sure his spirit will help me and Kano Pillars win the Federation Cup final in Asaba, by the special grace of God.”
