FRSC FC of Abuja emerged champions of the Bet9ja Nationwide League One Super 8 with a hard fought victory over Lagos club, AS Racine, Saturday evening at tthe Agege stadium, Lagos.

The goal keeper of the “Road Marshalls”  Stephen Azubuike  was the hero as he saved three penalty kicks to help his team record a 3-2 win over AS Racine after both sides had held each other down at 1-1 into regulation time.

Azubuike was also awarded the best goal keeper of the tournament   with www,nigerianationwideleague.com  claiming that some scouts from the professional league are already making enquries for his services.

AS Racine attacking midfielder Stephen Anyanwu was voted the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament while in the third place game, My People FC of Lagos defeated  Papilo FC 4-0. The  F.A Champions of Imo State were however awarded the tournament’s fair play trophy.

Born July 13, 1965, Fred Edoreh hails from Umeh, Isoko South, Delta State. He attended St. John Primary School, Iselegu, Mater Dei Collage Ashaka, St. Patrick’s Grammar School, Asaba for HSC and graduated in English and Literary Studies at Bendel State University, Ekpoma.
