Eghe Akwa Not Better Than Kogi United

Nigeria National League (NNL) side Kogi United face Akwa United at the Enyimba Stadium on Wednesday in what is expected to be a tough Aiteo Cup encounter.

The Lokoja based side drew 0-0 with Nasarawa United in their first group game but former Wikki Tourists attacking midfielder Osas Eghe says that there is no need to fear the defending champions.

He said that every team in this competition is the same and they will fight all the way.

“We can respect each other but not fear them. We will go into the field of play and give it all our best,” Osas Eghe told

“I know they (Akwa United) are a good side but we are also a good side. This is a cup game and there is no need to fear each other. We want to win this trophy and we will do all we can to achieve that feat.”
