COD United Will Produce Future Stars – Oshiyemi

COD United of Lagos richly talented coach, Leonard Oshiyemi has disclosed that he has burning desire to ensure that COD football club produces future stars that will do this great country proud in future.

In an effort to replicate the feat of some other youth clubs that has done well for talented players who cannot afford the basic needs as a player has prompted him to embark on this venture to enable these young players achieve their dreams.

Oshiyemi said COD United is a vibrant football club that has brought and will continue to bring joy to young players who doesn’t have access to basic empowerment skills in the country.

He made these assertions after his team’s training session recently in Lagos, while also marvelling at the array of talents in this country.

Speaking to Oshiyemi said: “I must say I am very pleased with the talents on display here since I joined this football club, they are young superbly gifted players who will make this country proud in the nearest future,” he said

“I am very passionate about sports and I have learnt so much about grassroots development because, I have worked with some of the best academies in the world for a long time and the zeal has not quenched,” he added

“We hope to nurture these young players to become future stars of tomorrow. We have a lot of talents in this country that if not discovered and given the basic skills of becoming better people will waste away.

“Our aim is to catch them young and make them future stars.

“This club will not only help young footballers, we will make sure we empower them with basic skills in every aspect that will equip them to be better persons”.

“I am very happy that I am doing this with joy. We need to keep developing and encouraging our young stars until they get to stardom”

“I truly appreciate all the support, I will continue to be grateful to everyone who has been supporting us in any way and God almighty will continue to bless and encourage them towards the success of this club and in the next few years COD Utd will be bigger and better by the special grace of God,” he concluded.

Born July 13, 1965, Fred Edoreh hails from Umeh, Isoko South, Delta State. He attended St. John Primary School, Iselegu, Mater Dei Collage Ashaka, St. Patrick’s Grammar School, Asaba for HSC and graduated in English and Literary Studies at Bendel State University, Ekpoma.
