Buhari, Ogunjobi, Fresh storm Gold Cup


The glamorous Gold Cup Pre-Season Tournament final is set as expected as arrangements have been concluded ahead of what would be the most exciting pre-season tourney final.

Gold Cup final will be decided Sunday evening at the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode with Lobi Stars Football club battling inspiring Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries Football Club.

Distinguish Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, together with prominent football administrators, coaches, club owners and top journalist will grace the finals among who are former NFF Secretary General Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, NFF Executive Member, Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf Fresh, Mike Idoko, Barrister Churchill Oliseh.

Others include former chairman Crown FC Alhaji Noah Bello, CEO Owu Sportswear Barrister Tunji Brown, Phoenix AC boss Bayo Olanlege, former NPL board member Alhaji Abdulrasaq Owolabi Agbaji Wopa, Aikhoje Ojeikere, Oluwatoyin Ibitoye among others.

However, the Organizing Committee of the tournament, has offered assurances of a memorable experience to the finalists, fans and top football administrators that will be in Ijebu-Ode for the finals of the fourth edition of the tournament.

General Coordinator of the tourney, Tunde Shamsudeen, said all the teams that participated benefited from the tournament as it offer the teams an opportunity to have a first hand assessment of their players prior the new football season.

The winner going home with a guaranteed giant trophy, cash reward, and medals donated by Senator Abdulfatai Buhari.

Runners up team will get a trophy courtesy of NFF Executive Board Member, Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf Fresh, medals and cash reward from Senator Buhari.
