Bosso, Adetunji win February LBA

The League Bloggers Awards (LBA) has named Ladan Bosso of El-Kanemi Warriors and Sunday Adetunji of Abia Warriors as Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Manager and Player for Month, respectively, for February.

Bosso was voted February LBA manager in recognition his
team’s near excellent run in the Nigerian top flight for the month under review.

Four wins out of five matches in February, including a 1-0 success at
Abia Warriors, proved to be enough for Bosso to claim the manager’s
accolade ahead of Akwa United’s Abdu Maikaba, Fidelis Ilechukwu of MFM FC and Abubakar Bala of Niger Tornadoes who were in the nomination.

Victories against seven-time NPFL winners Enyimba, Gombe United, Abia Warriors and Nasarawa United with a 0-2 loss at Plateau United in between put Bosso and his team ahead of other competitors in February and helped them claim 12 points out of the possible 15 .

Adetunji was picked as Player of the month from a shortlist of four players that featured El-Kanemi’s Samuel Mathias, Ernest Governor of ABS FC and Moses Ebiye of Akwa United.

The forward was a bright spot for Abia Warriors in February as he scored four goals in five appearances. His goalscoring performance accounted for all of his club’s goals in the month under review.

The former 3SC man scored for Abia Warriors against Gombe United, Sunshine Stars, Nasarawa United and Akwa United. The only time he fired blank in February was in the home against El-Kanemi Warriors.

Adetunji and Bosso will be presented their awards for February in the
coming days by the LBA.
