The President of the Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick has urged fans to come out en masse to support  Super Falcons as they are looking to defend their title against  host Cameroon in the final of the African Women Championship which kick off this evening, 3.30pm in Yaoundé.

Amaju  told that the Ladies promised him birthday gift when he spoke with them on Thursday December 1, 2016

“I spoke to couple of them on Thursday, Thursday was my birthday and they were very excited with my birthday and I said only birthday gift they can give to me is to bring that trophy home, that they are going to play against everybody today.

I said do you know who is on your side they said no, I said God is on their side and when God is on your side mountain will surmount and they agreed with me so let’s go and support them and surmount mountain called Cameroon”.

The Nigerian Ladies defeated Cameroon in this stage two years ago in Windhoek Namibia.

A win today will make it 10th time the Falcons are winning the competition.

The closest country to them is Equatorial Guinea who won it twice 2008 and 2012.
