Akwa Utd fear no champions league foes – Maikaba

Splendidly gifted coach of Akwa United, Abdu Maikaba has hailed has said that they are ready for any team they will face in the CAF champions league.
Maikaba believes his side is worthy winners of this year’s Federations cup, saying that they really worked hard from the start of the season to achieve this great feat.
The soft spoken, but very experienced coach told Sportstalkafrica.com exclusively that the entire team and management are really happy to see that their hard work all through the season paid off and that they will translate that from to the champions league and make sure they do well in the tournament.
Maikaba who gave total praises to his chairman and entire management for their selfless passion and support for the entire team to achieve this great feat.
“I want to first give God all the glory for making this dream come true, because if not for him all our efforts would have been futile, “ he said
“We will not stop with the Aiteo cup, we will make sure we bring glory back to this country in the CAF Confederations cup. We will put in all our best and by the grace of God the CAF confederations cup will come to Nigeria next season”
“Our hard work all through the season paid off, because the almighty father was fully involved and our chairman and Governor did their best to make sure the team is fully motivated.
“The entire team really worked for each other throughout the entire battle for the title. I must say the team was purely united for the target and we are very happy we got the trophy,” he added.
The ever dedicated coach further gave more accolades to his players for following his basic principles of hard work and dedication all through the season.
“I must say my players are great and I thank God for giving this set of players and I know this is just the beginning of many trophies to come for this great club,” he concluded.

Born July 13, 1965, Fred Edoreh hails from Umeh, Isoko South, Delta State. He attended St. John Primary School, Iselegu, Mater Dei Collage Ashaka, St. Patrick’s Grammar School, Asaba for HSC and graduated in English and Literary Studies at Bendel State University, Ekpoma.
