Super Sand Eagles’ title hope suffered a setback this evening as they lost to Cote d’Ivore in the second group A game in the ongoing CAF Beach Soccer Competition at Eko Atlantic, Victoria Island.

 

The host lost 3-1 on penalties after the normal periods ended in four all draw.

The Ivoirians who top the group with 6 points will next face Egypt while second place Nigeria battle Ghana for a spot in the semi-final.

Ghana lost their second game to Egypt 5-4 to crash out of the tournament

In other results, Morocco hammered Libya 9-3.

Senegal defeated Madagascar 3-1

Born July 13, 1965, Fred Edoreh hails from Umeh, Isoko South, Delta State. He attended St. John Primary School, Iselegu, Mater Dei Collage Ashaka, St. Patrick’s Grammar School, Asaba for HSC and graduated in English and Literary Studies at Bendel State University, Ekpoma.
